Sign up for Mohawk Valley Bus Tours

As part of the Fort Plain Museum’s 3rd Annual American Revolution Mohawk Valley Conference there will be 2 bus tours of Mohawk Valley historic sites and museums. Pre-registration is required and there is a May 10 cutoff date to sign up.

Mohawk Country Bus Tour

On Thursday June 8th, there will be a tour of the Mohawk Country Historic Sites. These sites include the following: Fort Plain/Fort Rensselaer (Fort Plain Museum), the 1747 Nellis Tavern, Fort Klock, the Stone Arabia battlefield, the Stone Arabia Church, the Grave of Colonel John Brown (the Hero of the Battle of Stone Arabia), and Old Fort Johnson.

There will be a lunch stop at a local restaurant at your own expense (about $10-$15).

Drums Along the Mohawk Bus Tour

On Friday June 9th, there will be a tour of the historic sites included in Walter D. Edmonds’ famous novel. These sites include; the Palatine Church, Fort Stanwix National Monument, the Oriskany Battlefield, and the General Herkimer Home. Also included are several drive-by sites; site of Fort Dayton, site of Fort Herkimer, the Fort Herkimer Church and Indian Castle Church.   

There will be a lunch stop at a local restaurant at your own expense (about $10-$15).

The Cost is $40 per tour and this fee includes all admission costs to each historic site.

A historical information packet including a map will be provided for each trip. Space is limited. Bus Tours will take place rain or shine. Good walking shoes, drinks and snacks are suggested.
